The 2SLGBTQ+ Customer Service workshop is designed to help employees create positive and inclusive customer/client experiences. In this session attendees will learn language and terminology as well as practical tips on how to ensure customer service is inclusive and positive.

2SLGBTQ+ Customer Service Workshop and Terms 101: This 90-minute workshop is designed for attendees who would like a refresher or a 101 to ensure everyone has a basic understanding of the 2SLGBTQ+ community.

Workshop Content Summary:

  • Terms and phrases associated with 2SLGBTQ+ identities
  • Understanding the difference between Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity and Gender Expression
  • How to address customers/clients respectfully
  • How to avoid making assumptions about gender in different mediums of communication
  • How to use gender-neutral pronouns
  • Being an effective and active ally
